![]() KSG's don't get much love here, for a reason. I feel about Kel-Tec like I do about Hooters: if ONLY they made a good hamburger, the place would print money! Why can't Kel-Tec get a competent engineer to handle their manufacturing? Their design team is very clever and innovative. Since they seem best for CQB and indoor use, they don't need to stand up to abuse that might be dumped on an AK or AR in the mud and muck, so as a bedside gun, if you have one that runs, it might be ok, but I would THOROUGHLY vet it before choosing it for such an important role. Sadly, they are notorious for reliability issues, like the Saiga before them. The one I shot fed everything fine from bird shot to 4 kinds of buck and even the short 2 1/4 inch buckshot. It is a perfect complement to an AUG or Tavor and would seem like a good choice for a breacher. Not sure when one would shoot 200 rounds of 12 gauge out of this set up in a row other than a training class, but it is less comfortable than a full size 11-87. ![]() ![]() Kel-Tec addressed both problems very cleverly. The problem with defensive shotguns is that most are too long to be used indoors well and even the long ones have small mag capacity. ![]()
